MiGen is Michigan’s only nonprofit dedicated exclusively to caring for
LGBTQ+ older adults; the organization serves as an advocacy and service partner that’s been
looking out for LGBTQ+ elders for over 15 years. MiGen pursues its mission across several
programs and services. The organization compliments these programs with a full continuum of
education programs for LGBTQ+ seniors, families and informal caregivers, and professionals
and healthcare providers. MiGen is the only organization in Michigan offering these unique,
necessary, and informed services, all through a lens that is particularly dedicated to
strengthening services and outcomes for aging members of the LGBTQ+ community.
